INTREPID Project

INTREPID’s goal is to innovate first responders operations in the early stages of a disaster, when there are greatest chances of saving lives and first responders face many challenges

PROJECTS

INTREPID Project

INTREPID aims to create and validate a unique platform, seamlessly integrating intelligence amplification and extended reality concepts, with unprecedented smart cybernetic assistants and innovative deep indoor networking and positioning capabilities, to improve and accelerate the exploration and assessment of disaster zones. The project will validate its effectiveness, in iterative and complementarity pilots, to support the rescue operation in areas that are complex or dangerous to explore.

The work plan has been specifically designed to involve professionals throughout  the whole project using an iterative, user-centered methodology that allows them to regularly assess the system. In the vocational training centers, several pilots will be organized in different scenarios (including natural disasters, industrial disasters and malicious attacks in public spaces).
